The Marriage Preparation Program is designed to help couples successfully navigate the transition from engagement to a solid new marriage.

Based on clinical research into why some marriages fail and others succeed, this program provides a pre-marital workshop and online support for couples (telephone and internet) up to the end of the first year of marriage. An optional follow-up, Well Couple Check-Up, is also available to couples at a substantially discounted cost.

As a participant in the The Marriage Preparation Program you will have the comfort of knowing that you have access to qualified, professional marriage therapists who will support you during the crucial formative months of your marriage

Partners will primarily work with each other throughout the pre-marital workshop. A variety of educational methods will be employed, including couple discussion, experiential exercises, and skill practice.  Dress is casual. You may want to bring a coffee mug to help conserve use of plastic. 

The Well Couple Check-Up, is a clinical interview between couple and therapist arranged at the convenience of the couple between six and eighteen months after their wedding.

The online, Marriage Preparation webinar, is designed to help couples successfully navigate the transition from engagement to a solid new marriage, when they are unable to attend a program in person.

The on line course is composed of ten individual sessions which you work through as a couple in order to receive the handwritten Certificate of Completion.  Each session has a short video presentation and a number of .pdf documents you can open or print.  Couples may work through the program together at a single computer, or if you are apart from each other, individually at your own computer. The exercises require that you be able to communicate with each other both by phone (Skype) or e-mail etc.

When you register you will receive two e mails within minutes of registration: one will be your receipt and the other will provide you with the access code for the program.  The code is valid for 30 days and you may take that much time to complete the course.  When you have completed the course, the Certificate of Completion will be available on your computer to print if you need it.  If you supply us with the e mail address of your officiant, (on your registration page) we will also e mail him/her a copy of the certificate. The web site will track your progress through the course and you can see this progress for each of you in the progress bar.
